Maintenance Operations Coordinator

We’re seeking a Maintenance Operations Coordinator to play a key role in keeping our engineering and maintenance function running smoothly, safely, and efficiently.
About the Role
This is a hands-on, coordination-focused role where you’ll be the link between planning, execution, and continuous improvement within our maintenance team. You’ll ensure maintenance activities are well organised, compliant, and aligned with operational needs while also rolling up your sleeves when required.
You’ll work closely with the Maintenance Manager and wider engineering team to support scheduling, inventory, documentation, and on-the-ground maintenance support.
What You’ll Be Doing
Maintenance Planning & Coordination
- Coordinate and schedule preventative and reactive maintenance
- Manage work orders and ensure timely completion
- Align maintenance activities with production and operational priorities
- Support task prioritisation based on risk and impact
Spares & Inventory Management
- Maintain and optimise spare parts inventory
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate reordering
- Work with suppliers to source parts efficiently and cost-effectively
- Ensure accurate tracking of parts usage
Administration & Compliance
- Maintain maintenance records, logs, and documentation
- Ensure work orders, permits, and compliance requirements are completed accurately
- Support KPI reporting and audit readiness
Hands-on Engineering Support
- Assist the maintenance team with practical tasks when needed
- Support troubleshooting and fault finding
- Contribute to problem-solving and root cause analysis
Continuous Improvement & Safety
- Identify and implement process improvements
- Promote best-practice maintenance standards
- Champion a proactive, safety-first culture
What You’ll Bring
- At least 5 years’ hands-on maintenance experience
- Mechanical trade qualification (Level 3 or 4)
- Strong skills in fault finding, maintenance, and problem solving
- Experience with maintenance planning or coordination (preferred)
- HVAC knowledge is advantageous (but not essential)
You’ll also be:
